The project for the new West Stand involves demolishing the current state, with consequent reconstruction and expansion of the internal functions. In fact, the existing grandstand is in a state of disrepair due to lack of maintenance over time.
In particular, the project involves the review of a part of the facility, without altering the actual state of the playing field and the open grandstand to the east. The intervention is divided into two areas, namely the construction of the grandstand with adjoining basement spaces for services linked to competitive activities and the creation of spaces dedicated to users.
In particular, in the second area an organic and flexible volume is planned, intended for the insertion of a ticket office, bar, services and technical room, and which can accommodate spectators, configuring itself as a filter between the external space and that of the sports facility.
The ongoing intervention allows not only to return a service to citizens through the redevelopment of a public space, but also to make it accessible to everyone by breaking down architectural barriers and allowing the entry of emergency vehicles.
